Hyde Precision Components Ltd manufactures a variety of products ranging from new cad designed parts to old designs where paper 2D drawing and surface points are the only data available. Before any CNC programming can commence a 3D model is required to drive tool paths around.

Delcam's Powershape provides all the tools required to develop complex solid/surface models, starting from a two-dimensional drawing. It can also be utilised to import existing or new Cad models from our customers, reading in the native data, whatever the medium and producing a quality model from which to machine.
This software also makes it very easy to incorporate any changes that a customer would like to make to a component. By comparing new data to old the system highlights any change in design, thus making it easy to isolate the changes and reduce re-programming times and risks.
The excellent surface quality and definition is transferred by default to the cutter paths used in our machine shop therefore ensuring the accuracy and tolerances our customer requires are met.
We can also interrogate the CAD model at this pre-programming stage, for use in accurate quotation. We can calculate the correct tools to use, material size to purchase and work out volumes of material that are to be removed ensuring accurate lead times are quoted.
