Delcam's Powermill allows Hyde Precision Components Ltd to compete in a world where design is being revolutionised and the complexity of surface data is being pushed to extremes. We are now able to offer full 5 axis machining capability to very high accuracy in an industry where parts are needed today not tomorrow.
The fast calculation of high tolerance tool paths ensure that lead times are met but quality is not compromised. We have a direct interface with our CAD package that requires no translation and enables the accurate machining of complex forgings and surfaces.
The software is used to ensure that new cutting techniques are employed throughout our machine shop.
Examples of this are:
> 5 axis swarf cutting
> 5 axis projection machining
> Trochoidal machining 		> Raceline machining
> Helical roughing
> Plunge roughing

Utilising methods such as these reduces run times, increase tool and machine life, reduces down time and reduces set up time by up to 50%. In addition to this we can guarantee that our tool paths are fully gouge checked and simulated for collision with fixtures, tool holders etc..
